Amazing & Useful!

I am deaf and learning ASL through the deaf community. I love communicating ASL with deaf friends. There are some words I need to renew or forgetting, I find this application very useful! The con is some words in the sentence were letter being spelled such as "to" "baseball" "happy" "Im".....even I knew the words in signing. I hope to see more of word signing than letter spelling in a sentence. I like the way you set up to catch a word and then it pops up to "what did you mean of...." and then you click on the right word. Thats a bonus! There are huge difference between ASL (American Sign Language) and ESL (English Sign Language). ASL dont use "a" "are" "to" "is" and many more that doesnt have to be fully sentence. An ESL is more like English that includes grammar, and fully sentence. From what I know, most deaf culture use ASL. I feel that Im learning ESL in this application. I would like to suggest to set up the setting for preference buttons of ASL & ESL. Great Job by the way! ;)

Very useful

I really like this program. I have to agree with one of the other comments in that there are signs that are spelled out when I know there is a sign for it. It would also be great to have a test mode. All in all though it is the best one that I have seen so far.

Great App

This is an excellent tool to learn sign language (ASL). Zooming in, rotating, and panning the character really helps in learning the gestures. I would like to see some addional people choices to look at or have a lesson plan built in so I have a good starting point.

Very Useful

I use this app in my workplace all the time- I work with children- some of which are deaf or non-verbal autistic...this allows me to interpret what theyre saying while learning the sign for next time, and/or introduce new words into their vocabulary- which has makes the kids much more willing to work with me. Theyre very respectful of my iPod touch because they know its how to get themselves understood! Excellent teaching/learning tool.

very good

very good i recomend it if you want to learn ESL/ASL

4.3.3 crashing. Please fix

Great app!

Fantastic and so easy

I work with hearing impaired folks and find this app very useful and much quicker than others Ive tried. The ability to move, rotate and zoom in on the graphic is so helpful. This app is far superior to others and there has never been a glitch.

Amazing

I work as security at a collage and knew a little sign but with the help of this app I am able to communicate so much Easyer and faster

Getting frustrated.

Fantastic App that works really well to learn with but I paid so much for this app and its declining in usability. Its still ios6 and it now doesnt even work with my iPhone 6 running iOS 8. Really needing an upgrade.

Not working

Crashes frequently, dont buy

No longer crashing

I can learn very easily by typing in what sentences I want to learn. The 3D signs really help. Some reviews suggest it crashes, I have not observe that. I think the fix for iOS 8 on November fixes those complains.

Fixed

It took a while but they finally fixed the bugs!! Thanks

Abso-fraggin-lutely Amazing!

Well done gang. With the avatar in 3D, I can always get a perfect view of the hand and finger positions. I can slow down the signs so I can copy them easier, and then speed them up as I learn. Its like I have an English to ASL translator, where I can type any sentence and the avatar will show me how to sign it. Well worth the price, and then some.

Great now that its fixed, but still wary

Now that the bugs are fixed its back to being the best ASL app (and for $10 it should be!). Took them forever to fix it (no updates between 2010 and 2014 and none since) so Im always wary to update my O/S. Not sure I would recommend it based on that.

Quiz would be helpful!!!!

It would be nice if u added some sort of quiz so we know our progress, that would be really helpful! Please add this to an update, please!!!!!!!

Dunno

How I got it, I will test it out.

ASL

I purchased this app for my 11 yr. old thinking it was teaching the ASL version. After signing to someone, he was told he was using the English style. In reading one of the comments, do you have to know ASL phrases, etc. to have it show you how to sign in ASL? Having spent the money I hope there is some way to benefit from this app.

Cant get enough!

This is amazing! It is extremely easy to learn and it is addicting! Absolutly perfect

To bad i was too thrilled to read fine print...

Learn basic sign to communicate to the deaf community? Not by using SEE sign!! ( Signing Exact English). They wont understand half of what you say, and will be put off! Also, to bad no dictionary... Stupid me. I will no longer be "Too Thrilled" and read everything... .. :(wish SEE would just go away. Why do the hearing need signed english any way?

Dont buy this if you are looking to learn ASL

This app is terrible. I am trying to learn ASL. Most of the words I input are just spelled out. I already know finger spelling so I was really disappointed. To bad there is no money back.
